World and Mission

The signal station campaign is arranged as six chapters of five Stages. Clear one formation, collect its Credits, and decide which upgrade will carry the defender into the next frontier.

How the Systems Work

Move the ship left and right and fire upward. Each Stage uses one authored enemy formation; its chapter rule changes the pressure through volleys, captains, relay timing, crossfire, or the final signal-core guardian.

How to Play

  1. Choose an unlocked Stage and read its chapter rule before entering Battle.
  2. Use Left/Right or A/D on desktop and Space to fire; on mobile, hold the movement controls and tap Fire.
  3. Clear the single formation, then use Result to claim the Stage reward and return to Stage.
  4. Open Upgrades and spend Credits on firepower, shield, hull, or firing speed. Bullets do not increase automatically because of a Stage number.

Strategy Tips

  • Read the rule on the Stage card before choosing a firing lane.
  • Keep the enemy formation's pressure separate from your own firepower: the first is the Stage challenge, the second is bought with Credits.
  • When Credits are low, prioritize firepower for wider coverage; shield, hull, and firing speed help stabilize later chapters.
  • Chapter 6 ends at Stage 30 with the signal-core guardian.

Campaign and Difficulty Growth

Thirty Stages are arranged as six chapters of five. Clearing the current frontier unlocks the next Stage; replaying a cleared Stage does not grant automatic bullets, so spend earned Credits in Upgrades.

Developer Design Note

Alien Defender combines readable fixed-screen formations with a 30-Stage, six-chapter campaign and a clear Credit-driven upgrade loop: Stage rules create challenge, while the player owns the firepower choice.

FAQ

How many waves are in a Stage?
Each Stage has one Battle and one formation. The campaign has 30 Stages, not a confusing Stage-to-wave offset.
How do bullets increase?
Earn Credits in Battle and Result, then buy firepower in Upgrades. A Stage number never silently adds bullets.
How do I unlock more Stages?
Clear the current frontier Stage. The next Stage unlocks in order, across six chapters of five.
Is progress saved?
Unlocks, Credits, upgrades, and the local Best are saved in this browser.
