World and Mission

A cloud-marten courier crosses a 30-stage campaign in six five-stage arcs: First Lift, Crosswind, Moving Rings, Parcel Order, Lantern Weather, and Mastery. Every parcel depends on a clean swing, a deliberate release, and a safe landing.

How the Systems Work

Hold Tether or Space to attach to the nearest visible anchor, then release to carry momentum into the next arc. Left and Right or the nudge controls adjust the flight while attached and in open air.

Collect every parcel and reach the lantern goal to clear the stage. Checkpoints at stages 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 add a distinct mastery decision; ordered parcels and drifting lanterns change the route rather than only raising numbers.

How to Play

  1. Choose an unlocked stage from the 30-card Stage rail and read its arc, objective, warning, and hazard layout before entering Battle.
  2. Use Left and Right or the touch nudge controls to shape the approach, then hold Tether or Space when an anchor is in range.
  3. Release at the top or forward side of the swing to carry momentum toward the next ring; reattach only when the next route is readable.
  4. Collect every parcel and touch the lantern goal. A clean delivery opens Result, while a collision or fall opens a failure Result with Retry.

Strategy Tips

  • Attach early enough to build a stable arc, but release before the rope pulls you below the next platform line.
  • Use short directional taps during a swing; a long hold can overshoot the next anchor or push the courier into a spike.
  • Moving anchors and gust pulses reveal their rhythm. Watch one full cycle before committing when a route feels narrow.
  • When a run fails, change one release decision at a time; later arcs also require parcel order, swing mastery, and a moving lantern approach.

Campaign and Difficulty Growth

Thirty authored stages form six arcs of five. Stages 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 are checkpoints that change the decision: complete a swing, read a gust, time moving rings, respect parcel order, forecast lantern drift, and finally combine every mechanic.

Developer Design Note

Cloudhook Courier keeps one logical play space across phone, landscape, and desktop. Touch, mouse, and keyboard share the same tether, release, and nudge state, while Main, Stage, Battle, and Result remain separate screens with direct returns. The complete interface uses one centered logical layout with a 920-pixel maximum. Phone, landscape, and desktop views scale the same controls, hit areas, artwork, and game coordinates together instead of stretching individual pieces. Touch, mouse, and keyboard therefore act on the same legal state. The Main poster and Start Game action remain separate from Stage management, while Stage selection, Battle, dialogs, and Result keep their own bounded content and return path.

Parent Note

This General browser game has no account, purchase, chat, leaderboard, or advertising flow. Stage clears, best times, language, sound, and preferences stay in the current browser profile and may reset when site data is cleared. You can play without creating an account. Progress is saved in local browser storage on the current browser profile, not in an online account or cross-device database. Clearing site data, using private browsing, changing browsers, or moving to another device can create a separate save or remove the existing one. Language, sound, and reduced-motion preferences follow the shared WeightPlay controls when the browser permits storage. No guide result is a medical, school, or professional assessment.

FAQ

Can I steer while attached?
Yes. Left and Right or the nudge controls adjust the courier's horizontal movement while the tether carries the swing.
When should I release?
Release near the top or forward side of the arc when the next anchor, parcel, or lantern line is clear.
What causes a failed stage?
Touching a spike or falling outside the route ends the attempt and opens a failure Result.
Does progress save?
Cleared stages, unlocks, and best times are saved locally in this browser.
Which controls and screen sizes are supported?
The same rules support touch, mouse, and keyboard where the game uses those inputs. The interface scales as one logical layout across the required phone, landscape, and desktop viewports.
Can progress move automatically to another device?
No. This game currently saves to local browser storage only, so another browser profile or device begins with its own separate local progress unless a future account system is added.
