World and Mission

Fruit arcs through a bright treetop arena in 30 short stages across six five-stage arcs. The goal is to read motion quickly, make a clean swipe, and recover when the pattern changes.

How the Systems Work

Drag across fruit in the live arena to collect it; every successful hit raises the score and can extend the chain.

Wind, weaving targets, dark-pod shadows, light signals, and pulse timing introduce distinct reading decisions as the campaign grows.

Clear stages unlock the next stage, while cleared stages remain replayable. Progress and each stage best are saved locally in this browser.

Stages 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 are checkpoint stages with a highlighted checkpoint fruit to mark the arc transition.

How to Play

  1. Choose any unlocked stage and wait for the ready cue to finish.
  2. Drag across visible safe fruit with one continuous swipe.
  3. Follow the next arc instead of chasing a target that has already left the arena.
  4. Avoid dark seed pods and adjust to wind, weaving, signal, or rhythm cues.
  5. Clear the stage to unlock the next one, or use Retry and Stages to replay and route through the campaign.

Strategy Tips

  • Start with the closest fruit, then extend the same stroke only when the next target is clearly safe.
  • Leave space around dark pods; a shorter clean swipe is better than a risky chain.
  • Treat the checkpoint fruit as a route-reading test, not a reason to rush.
  • Watch the score and chain feedback to confirm that your gesture changed the board.

Campaign and Difficulty Growth

Arc 1 (stages 1-5) teaches readable arcs and ends at the Lantern Checkpoint. Arc 2 (6-10) introduces crosswind and wind switching at the Windkeeper Checkpoint.

Arc 3 (11-15) teaches twilight shadow reading. Arc 4 (16-20) adds weaving branches and shorter timing windows before the Bough Guardian Checkpoint.

Arc 5 (21-25) combines active light signals with pulse timing. Arc 6 (26-30) combines wind, weave, signal, rhythm, and hazards for the Grand Canopy Finale. Every cleared stage remains replayable.

Developer Design Note

Canopy Cut is an original swipe-first arcade game with its own canopy art, target pacing, hazard language, and direct gesture feedback; the visible fruit response is the core player reward.
