World and Mission

Mimi is restoring color to dormant puzzle boards in a magical forest workshop. Stone cells block parts of each board, so the route must pass through every open cell exactly once.

The final five mastery grids combine longer routes, narrow exits, and deceptive early choices. Stage 30 completes the campaign and remains replayable.

How the Systems Work

A valid attempt begins on the glowing paw cell. Each move enters one open cell directly above, below, left, or right; diagonal jumps and repeated cells are not allowed.

The board is complete only when every open cell is colored. Releasing early, revisiting a cell, or reaching a dead end resets the attempt without spending currency.

Show Hint highlights the next cell in one possible solution, while Restart clears the current route. Using a hint reduces the best star result for that attempt.

Clears, unlocked stages, best star ratings, and best times are stored locally in this browser. Completed stages remain available from the horizontal Stage rail.

How to Play

  1. Choose an unlocked puzzle from the horizontal Stage rail.
  2. Press the glowing paw cell and begin dragging.
  3. Move through open cells that share an edge with the current cell.
  4. Avoid every cell already colored by the route.
  5. Fill every open cell before releasing to clear the stage.

Strategy Tips

  • Inspect corners and narrow exits before starting; entering them from the wrong direction can isolate the final cell.
  • Clear pockets with only one entrance at the correct moment instead of sealing their entrance too early.
  • Use Show Hint to reveal one next step when stuck; it never costs currency but limits that attempt to two stars.
  • Speed is not required. Pause on the current cell and plan the remaining route before moving.

Campaign and Difficulty Growth

Stages 1-5 teach orthogonal movement and the no-repeat rule; 6-10 introduce corner planning; 11-15 use stone blocks to divide the board.

Stages 16-20 extend the routes, 21-25 introduce tighter choices, and 26-30 combine large grids, blocked cells, and narrow exits.

Developer Design Note

One Line is a route-planning puzzle rather than a freehand accuracy test. Large cells and interpolated pointer sampling make the same rules practical with a mouse or a finger, while the no-repeat and fill-every-cell conditions keep success focused on reasoning. A responsive logical Canvas fills the safe Stage and Battle rectangle while preserving one uniform scale, stable anchors, and the separate 56px General reserve.

Parent Note

One Line is recommended for ages 9+ and family play. It requires no account and stores progress only in the current browser. Stars and the Result skill summary are playful feedback, not a formal ability, medical, or school assessment.
