Gin RummyDraw and discard to build sets and runs while keeping Deadwood low.
Build sets and suited runs while reducing unmatched Deadwood before the opponent knocks.
Each hand deals ten cards to you and the AI, then turns one card face up beside the stock. The aim is to turn a loose hand into melds before the other side does.
Sets use three or more cards of one rank; runs use three or more consecutive cards in one suit. The Result compares your meld-card count and Deadwood with the AI.
On your turn, draw one card from the stock or discard, then discard one card. Only one draw is allowed before the discard, so the visible discard pile is both a clue and a resource.
Deadwood is the value of cards not covered by a detected meld. A hand at 0 Deadwood can finish with Gin; at 10 or less you may Knock. If the stock runs out, the lower Deadwood wins the hand.
There is no campaign ladder: every new hand deals a fresh position against the AI. Replay value comes from reading a different discard sequence, protecting a promising meld, and choosing the right finish.
Gin Rummy makes one small action carry the strategy: every turn asks which card to take, which card to expose to the discard pile, and whether to keep improving or end the hand. The browser version keeps the classic stock/discard rhythm, shows the current meld and Deadwood path in Battle, and gives a factual Result after Gin, Knock, or an empty stock.
