Lantern Lasso

Aim your line, open gates and guide lost lights home.

Lantern Lasso

Goal

Help the moon-cap owl bring the star lanterns home. Each of the 60 stages is a small board of lights, walls and, later, gates or a moving beam. You finish a stage by collecting every light. A clear opens the next stage; the map keeps completed stages available for another attempt.

How to play

Look at the line before releasing. The line stops at the first object it reaches and can reflect twice from the outside edge. Numbered lights must be collected in order when numbers are shown. A ↗ symbol and number on a light specify the exact number of edge reflections required. A red preview means the current path is blocked or reaches a light in the wrong way.

Controls and rules

Pull a numbered switch into its slot to open its matching door. When there are two switches, pull 1 before 2. In the second chapter, the beam alternates between blocking the board and opening a passage. Once per attempt you can hold the beam open for two casts; wait until it is open before using the clip. Undo restores the last action, while Retry starts the stage again. Undo restores the board, but casts still count toward the stars.

Finishing and feedback

Your cast count determines the stars shown at the end; stars do not prevent the next stage from opening. The map keeps the best recorded result in this browser. A first clear also awards one block for Block World; replaying that stage does not award it twice. Five completed stages unlock a free moss rope, and fifteen unlock a star-map result frame. The optional Aurora rope costs five shared diamonds and changes appearance only.

Player and save information

Play with a pointer or touch: drag across the board to aim and release to cast. Arrow keys adjust the direction and Space casts. Progress, best results and cosmetic choices are stored in this browser; clearing site data may remove them. A wallet purchase is optional, and the game does not require a purchase to solve a stage.

Design note

The board keeps the same rules on phone and desktop. The preview is intended to make the next contact visible before a cast, so a player can reason about the path rather than rely on a hidden solution. Later boards combine earlier lessons: a single cast may need the right door, the correct order and a particular reflection.

Frequently asked questions

Why did the light not move?
A wall may be in the way, an earlier numbered light may remain, or the marked reflection count may not match. Inspect the preview and adjust the angle.
Can I recover from a mistake?
Use Undo to restore the previous action or Retry to restart the stage. Neither consumes diamonds.
What does the clip do?
It holds an open beam for two casts once per attempt. Undo can restore the clip before a stage is finished.
Are diamonds required?
No. The Aurora rope is a permanent cosmetic and does not change the puzzle rules.
Will progress follow me to another device?
Progress is stored in this browser. There is no account-based progress transfer in this game.

Rope collection

Aurora rope: a permanent blue lasso appearance. It does not change puzzle difficulty.
