World and Mission

Panko is restoring thirty garden waterways whose bamboo joints were twisted by a storm. Every board is a closed engineering problem: the spring, basin, pipe shapes, and correct route are authored before play begins.

The visible water is more than decoration. It follows the currently connected network from the source, making wrong turns, dead ends, and disconnected sections readable before the player commits more rotations.

How the Systems Work

Tap a tile to rotate it clockwise. Straight pipes, elbows, junctions, the spring, and the destination all use the same centered connection points.

A pipe counts as connected only when both neighboring openings face each other. Touching artwork or a nearby edge is not enough.

The source begins flowing immediately through every valid branch. A stage clears when the route reaches the destination under the stage rule; the destination itself does not need to rotate.

Undo restores one rotation, Restart restores the authored board, and Hint identifies a useful next correction without silently solving the network.

How to Play

  1. Choose an unlocked waterway from the horizontal Stage rail.
  2. Trace backward from the destination and forward from the spring before rotating crowded junctions.
  3. Rotate each required piece until every used opening meets the center of its neighbor.
  4. Confirm that the water reaches the clearly marked flowering destination, then continue from Result to the next waterway.

Strategy Tips

  • Fix edge pieces first because their impossible outward openings remove choices.
  • Use straight runs to establish a stable spine before deciding junction branches.
  • When water stops, inspect the first dry joint rather than rotating pieces far downstream.
  • Keep unused branches facing inward only when the stage requires the whole network to carry water.

Campaign and Difficulty Growth

Six five-stage chapters move from short straight routes to elbows, junctions, loops, misleading branches, and dense mixed networks.

Later waterways increase structural ambiguity instead of merely hiding the pipes or demanding faster input.

Developer Design Note

Every tile fills its grid cell and every connection shares one mathematical centerline, so the visual art, hit area, water path, and solved-state test describe the same geometry on phone and desktop. The complete interface uses one centered logical layout with a 920-pixel maximum. Phone, landscape, and desktop views scale the same controls, hit areas, artwork, and game coordinates together instead of stretching individual pieces. Touch, mouse, and keyboard therefore act on the same legal state. The Main poster and Start Game action remain separate from Stage management, while Stage selection, Battle, dialogs, and Result keep their own bounded content and return path.

Parent Note

No account, timer, purchase, or public score is required. Unlocks and best rotation counts remain in this browser and may reset if site storage is cleared. You can play without creating an account. Progress is saved in local browser storage on the current browser profile, not in an online account or cross-device database. Clearing site data, using private browsing, changing browsers, or moving to another device can create a separate save or remove the existing one. Language, sound, and reduced-motion preferences follow the shared WeightPlay controls when the browser permits storage. No guide result is a medical, school, or professional assessment.

FAQ

Why is there still a gap?
The two openings must meet at the exact shared center of their tile edges.
Does the destination rotate?
No. Reaching its inlet is enough.
Can a decorative branch be ignored?
Only when the current stage does not require every pipe to carry water.
Does progress save?
Yes, cleared waterways and local best results stay in this browser.
Which controls and screen sizes are supported?
The same rules support touch, mouse, and keyboard where the game uses those inputs. The interface scales as one logical layout across the required phone, landscape, and desktop viewports.
Can progress move automatically to another device?
No. This game currently saves to local browser storage only, so another browser profile or device begins with its own separate local progress unless a future account system is added.
