World and Mission

A quiet trail winds through six five-stage arcs. Every stage has one authored route lesson, and checkpoint stages at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 mark the arc transitions.

How the Systems Work

Arrow keys or the visible touch controls move the runner; Space jumps and Pulse briefly highlights the next trap cue.

Six authored mechanic families—gaps, moving traps, reversed controls, low ceilings, crosswind, and darkness—arrive in readable combinations rather than random layouts.

A gap or hidden hazard resets only the current stage, while the lantern marks a clear finish. The Result screen offers Retry, Stages, and the next unlocked stage.

How to Play

  1. Open Stages and choose the next unlocked stage; read its short route objective.
  2. Move right while watching the floor, gap, and trap cue; jump only when the route requires it.
  3. Use Pulse when you need to confirm the next warning, then reach the lantern.
  4. After a clear, use Next Stage to continue, or choose Retry and Stages to replay a mastered route.

Strategy Tips

  • Treat the first pass as a lesson: note which floor tiles move and which gaps open.
  • Hold a steady direction and make short, deliberate jumps instead of panic tapping.
  • Use Pulse before a blind-looking section, not after the trap has already triggered.

Campaign and Difficulty Growth

Arc 1 (stages 1-5) teaches gaps and readable landing windows. Arc 2 (6-10) adds moving traps and crosswind. Arc 3 (11-15) teaches reversed controls and ends at the Mirror Warden Check.

Arc 4 (16-20) adds low ceilings and double gaps. Arc 5 (21-25) combines storm wind, darkness, and Pulse. Arc 6 (26-30) is the mixed-rule Moon Gate finale. Checkpoints are stages 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30; every cleared stage remains replayable.

Developer Design Note

Moonlit Trap Trail uses original WeightPlay trail art, authored trap timing, touch controls, and stage-sized retries so the player can learn from a mistake and immediately act on the next attempt. Each of the 30 stages has a named purpose and a deliberate mechanic mix.
