The Willow weather station
The notebook at Willow weather station contains three named forecasts: Dawn Meadow, Rainy Hollow, and Evening Grove. Each forecast gives you three visible signs and a small shelter story, then asks which sign comes next.
The goal is not to react to changing weather in real time. It is to read a fixed, fair sequence and use that evidence to give each animal a calm shelter window. A correct forecast opens the next Result step; the full visit ends after all three forecasts are settled.
How the forecast systems work
Dawn Meadow alternates Sun and Cloud, so Sun · Cloud · Sun is followed by Cloud. Rainy Hollow repeats its first sign after two signs: Rain · Cloud · Cloud is followed by Rain. Evening Grove cycles Sun, Rain, and Cloud in order, so Sun · Rain · Cloud is followed by Sun.
The three rules are shown in the forecast view instead of being hidden behind a score. Selecting a sign only prepares an answer; Check forecast records one check and gives either a clear result or a safe retry.
How to play
Choose a forecast from the notebook or press Read the first forecast on Main.
Read the three signs, the rule text, and the question asking for the next sign.
Select Sun, Cloud, or Rain, then press Check forecast. The same button-based interaction works with touch or a mouse.
If the answer is wrong, read the rhythm again, choose another sign, and check again. Reset forecast clears only the current selection.
After a correct result, choose Next forecast. When all three are complete, Choose a forecast returns you to the notebook for replay.
Strategy tips
Name the rule before choosing a sign: alternating, two-step return, or three-sign cycle.
Write the sequence positions mentally rather than comparing only the last two symbols; the second forecast depends on the first sign returning after two signs.
Use the visible rule and hint together. A wrong check costs a visit check, but it never locks the forecast or removes local progress.
On a replay, try to lower the number of checks while keeping the same three deterministic answers.
Progression and replay
The visit moves from Dawn Meadow to Rainy Hollow to Evening Grove, so the rule language grows from alternation to a delayed return and then a three-sign cycle. There is no generated Forecast 4: the authored campaign is exactly three forecasts.
Every forecast remains available from the notebook after it is settled. Result shows how many forecasts are complete, how many checks this visit used, and the best check count stored by the browser.
Development and design
Weather Watch uses a small fixed rule set so the useful challenge is pattern reading, not speed or random luck. The Main, notebook, Battle, and Result views keep the evidence visible, while the same responsive controls work on phone, tablet, and desktop. Calm feedback makes a wrong prediction a readable next attempt rather than a dead end.
Player and save information
No account, purchase, chat, leaderboard, or online profile is required. Best checks and the sound preference are stored only in this browser; clearing site data, private browsing, switching browsers, or changing devices can create a separate result or remove the local save. The check count is play feedback, not a formal ability assessment.
