Animal Abyss Diver

Animal Abyss Diver is a thirty-route underwater strategy adventure starring Bubble Fin Nori. Every zone offers a left and right target with different salvage, danger, and oxygen consequences. Read the visible signal estimates, decide when exact Sonar information is worth its shared battery cost, and surface before a profitable dive becomes an oxygen emergency.

World and Mission

Nori explores six layers of a bright coral abyss where old navigation relics were scattered among currents, air pockets, wrecks, and territorial sea life. The campaign begins on readable lantern shelves, then crosses resource reefs, clue-denial ruins, pressure waters, mastery trenches, and the final Heart of the Abyss. Each named route has its own relic, encounter order, fish positions, salvage target, and operating rule.

The goal is not to descend as far as possible at any cost. A successful diver knows when to collect one more cache, when to protect a fragile haul, when to preserve battery power for a fish encounter, and when to surface with partial salvage. Clearing Route 30 means Nori has recovered the Abyss Heart after mastering jammed Sonar, fragile cargo, safe-route streaks, pressure loss, and guardian sharks.

How the Systems Work

Each zone places one target on the left and one on the right. Before choosing, both cards show estimated loot, danger, oxygen cost, an echo strength, and environmental clues. A target may contain a relic, a larger treasure cache, an oxygen pocket, a strong current, or a damaging trap. Nori remains centered until a deliberate lane choice is made.

An exact Sonar scan reveals the real outcome on both sides, but Sonar, the one-hit Shock Shield, and fish-combat pulse tools draw from the same four-point battery. Some routes alter those costs, jam Sonar in specified zones, or restore power through air pockets, relics, currents, or defeated guardians. Information and protection therefore compete with later combat readiness.

Territorial fish and deeper abyss sharks interrupt selected zones. Nori and the enemy each have one clearly labeled health bar. Attack uses the saved Attack stat and then allows a readable retaliation; Escape always succeeds but spends route-scaled oxygen and grants no experience or loot. Victories award experience and may add route-specific salvage.

Level-ups grant permanent stat points for Health, Attack, or Maximum Oxygen. Every allocation previews the old and new total, and all earned points must be assigned before the dive continues. These upgrades support different approaches without replacing route reading: more health helps combat, more attack shortens retaliation cycles, and more oxygen expands the margin for risky lanes.

Clearing a route requires reaching its authored salvage target across five to eight zones. Surfacing early safely banks a partial haul but does not unlock the next route. Missing the target or losing all oxygen keeps the current route available for another plan; an oxygen or combat defeat secures only part of the carried salvage.

The optional Emergency Beacon costs three shared WeightPlay Diamonds, can be confirmed only once per dive, and is disabled until oxygen is below its useful thirty-percent restore threshold. It is never required to clear the campaign. Route unlocks, Diver Rank, Salvage Coins, experience, permanent stats, and tutorial completion are stored locally in the current browser.

How to Play

  1. Start the game and drag the horizontal route rail until the mission you want is centered and glowing.
  2. Read the mission rule, zone count, salvage target, risk, and unique relic before entering Battle.
  3. Compare the left and right target estimates and environmental clues; use Sonar only when exact information is worth the battery cost.
  4. Choose a lane, resolve its oxygen and salvage result, and keep enough power for Shield or later fish encounters.
  5. During a fish encounter, Attack to win experience or Escape by paying the displayed oxygen cost.
  6. Reach the salvage target and finish the route, or Surface at a legal checkpoint to bank a partial haul safely.
  7. Spend earned stat points after level-ups, then continue to the next zone or return to Dive Routes from settlement.

Strategy Tips

  • Treat oxygen as a route budget. A high-loot cache is useful only if the remaining zones and possible escape still fit that budget.
  • Do not scan every zone automatically. Strong clues can preserve battery for a Shield or fish pulse, while jammed routes require direct inference.
  • If a mission rewards safe streaks, plan two consecutive low-risk choices instead of alternating a strong gain with a preventable hazard.
  • Fragile-cargo routes punish traps after a successful haul. Once the target is close, protection or an early legal Surface can be more valuable than another cache.
  • Before entering a guardian zone, compare current health, attack, oxygen, battery, and the guaranteed Escape cost rather than judging only the enemy picture.
  • Permanent upgrades help recover from mistakes, but authored rules remain decisive. Replaying with a different tool budget is often stronger than only increasing a stat.

Campaign and Difficulty Growth

Routes 1-5 teach readable signals, air pockets, current power, the first automatic scan, safe streaks, and a fair tutorial fish. Routes 6-10 introduce Sonar jams, fragile cargo, opening Shields, stronger power recovery, and multi-fish salvage rewards.

Routes 11-15 combine clue denial, checkpoint-only Surfacing, streak-and-cargo tradeoffs, altered tool costs, and the first guardian sharks. Routes 16-20 add pressure oxygen tax, jammed-current recovery, opening protection, stronger vents, and repeated predators.

Routes 21-25 demand even-zone Sonar planning, cargo vows, expensive scans, pressure spirals, and four-guardian treasure waters. Routes 26-30 combine airlocks, automatic scans with fragile cargo, jammed-current streaks, opening Shields, and the final multi-system Abyss Heart route.

Developer Design Note

The campaign uses thirty authored encounter signatures rather than copying one oxygen curve. Difficulty changes what information is reliable, where Surfacing is legal, how tools share power, whether cargo can break, and what guardian fights contribute. Stage, Battle, and Result use one responsive logical Canvas with a centered 920-pixel desktop maximum and a separate 56-pixel General reserve. Touch, mouse, and keyboard decisions share the same route state. Combat is turn based so health changes remain readable, and the settlement always offers a direct return to Dive Routes. The game requires no account and does not upload local progression.

Parent Note

No account is required. Route unlocks, Diver Rank, Salvage Coins, level, experience, permanent stats, and tutorial completion are stored only in this browser. Clearing site data or changing browsers may create a separate save. The optional Emergency Beacon uses three shared Diamonds only after a clear confirmation and is never required to complete all 30 routes.

FAQ

How many routes are included?
There are 30 named routes in six five-route chapters, each with an authored encounter order and mission rule.
What does Sonar reveal?
It reveals the exact left and right outcomes for the current zone; ordinary cards otherwise show estimates and environmental clues.
Why do Sonar, Shield, and fish tools share power?
The shared four-point battery makes information, protection, and combat counterplay part of one route plan.
Can I surface at any time?
Most routes allow it between encounters, but checkpoint missions permit Surface only at the zones named by their rule.
Does early Surface clear a route?
No. It safely banks partial salvage, while only reaching the route target unlocks the next mission.
Is the Emergency Beacon required?
No. It is an optional one-use Diamond recovery and is disabled when it would provide no oxygen benefit.
What is saved?
Route unlocks, Rank, Salvage Coins, level, experience, permanent stats, and tutorial completion are stored in this browser.
What happens after Route 30?
Route 30 remains replayable and settlement returns to Dive Routes; the game never offers a nonexistent Route 31.
